I’m an arch user myself, chose it because i wanted to get familiar with command line and force myself to learn a bit more about linux. Since choosing a DE was also paralyzing, I opted for i3 and now use sway and learned more about config files. Great part about linux is you can try and use what you like and works for you.

Microsoft, an early example of enshittification. I read about the pay-to-play nickel and diming of security logs to cloud providers. Logs which would help identify intrusions. Theres just been so many examples of security failuers that highlight the company knows its embedded status within the US govt, and knows it can do less for more.

Don’t forget the use of mandatory employment arbitration which effectively reduces workers rights by not allowing them a right to legal action.

I run it in a docker container and it works great.

Every child should be introduced to linux. Will help them understand better they don’t need to be treated as products and certainly make them more computer literate, and hopefully more security conscious.
