Even after a year he cannot remember I don’t watch YT or TikTok a lot. It is difficult to immediately pull up the video due to work rules.

I work with someone about my son’s age. My coworker is constantly asking if I saw some video on TikTok or YouTube. The answer is always so he tells me about the video. IDGAF

I was at the dentist today. Second time they made me wait more than 30 minutes. Aside from that they asked for a much higher payment than I agreed to just one week earlier.

I got up and told them I’m leaving and they can keep the money. The apologized profusely and convinced me to stay. They did get me in and out very quickly after that.

I doubt I will go back for the second half of the work.

Also happened when I took my 5 year old son to the dentist. The doctor’s policy was that no parents are allowed on the treatment room. I told my son to get out of the chair and left. Turned out that dentist was trying to put fillings in teeth that would fall out before fillings were even needed.

I had a similar positive experience in Spain and Morocco. Tangier is very close to Spain so most of the locals know Spanish.

I would always start conversations in Spanish. Most of the time the person I was talking to would appreciate my attempt and switch to English. In Tangier I talked to a street peddler for over 15 minutes while friends were in a store. I attempted to speak in Spanish but he preferred English. He just wanted to chat.

My last two TVs were dumb ones.

It is getting harder find dumb TVs because the smart stuff included with most TVs subsidizes keeping the initial price low. Manufactures are betting millions of dollars purchasers will sign up for the monthly apps.

I do similar. Cross the name out with a Sharpie and write “MOVED”.

After owning the place for two years now I just throw it out.

Unfortunately I cannot help directly as I’m a cis male that has lived in NYC, LA, and SF Bay Area the last 25 years.

Even in progressive locations there are establishments that are not. I suggest trying to find places you would be comfortable in. That may be a gym, coffee shop, or bar. Make conversation and get a feel for the place.

There is a local dive bar I frequent that is very LGBTQ friendly. Last night my wife and I talked to a transsexual woman (she shared this info) for almost an hour about what happens to donated body parts. She then took off to her friend’s place.

They are called “Wireless” headphones when there is a wire connecting them. “True Wireless” means two separate earbuds.

Union trades. That’s where the money is, unfortunately for this conversation few areas have full union coverage.

I’ve worked in NYC. You can not do much in commercial buildings without union help.

I now need to root my Android and put a new OS so it stops telling Google where I am. I’m slightly afraid as I just want my phone to work when I need it.

I’m sure T-Mobile uses my location data for something too.

Them: “I keep getting an error message.” Me: “What’s it say.” Them: “I don’t remember.”

I use FF and the desktop and don’t care about the look of the UI. I’m happy FF is fast and doesn’t have memory leaks.

Making the mobile experience better will go further with helping Mozilla in general than making the desktop UI look pretty.

I can’t check right now but curious how this compares to titles on the Play store.
