Great. Now how do I get them to delete my data and account?

Eh, there are a few spots that it certainly feels like it, especially the Frisian islands.
You could get a decent e-bike?
If you are skilled labor, yes: https://www.expatica.com/nl/finance/taxes/the-dutch-30-ruling-explained-101641/
But what @abbadon420 said is equally true. Housing market’s fucked beyond belief. Now, if you want to WFH and live out in the sticks, you’d be set.
This is very real. You can read it here: https://www.project2025.org. You can google multiple right wing websites commenting on it for yourself.

Believe people when they tell you who they are.
This is a good answer and probably the right solution (still not 100% convinced defederating isn’t, ultimately, going to be the answer though).
But your Jane/Joe Average User doesn’t look to see which instance that pr0n cute picture of a cat holding a teddy bear is on. They probably don’t even understand the concept of different instances showing content from others. Hell I’ve been online since 1992 and it took me a couple of days to get my head around it when I joined.
So I think we need some kind of step by step “If you see X, then do Y” sticked to the instances that care about this for the people who (like me) do care about this issue.
If you finally achieve this please make a post about how you did it!
Second time for me. I migrated about ten years ago from Metafilter, which I eventually rage quit. That really fucking hurt, and Reddit filed that niche in my life (but not the meeting IRL or helping IRL part).
Now I’ve had to go through the same thing with Reddit. I’m into Lemmy, Mastodon, and Bluesky, but it’s not the same. I hope it’s just not the same, yet.
You’re getting downvoted, and I don’t 100% agree with you, but I agree with your principal: at least a decade’s, maybe 15 years’ worth of the best answers to niche questions on the internet are going to die with Reddit, either because people delete/replace their comments or, more likely, Reddit just fucks them up some how in trying to monetize the answers.
Saved, thanks.
I would I would! But I cannot seem to find a decent one since Google killed theirs! What’s a good one?
I could keep up with so much more when I used RSS.
I think you’re confusing the poor FBI guy reading our conversation ;)
Generics are required to be as efficacious as name brand in the US.
Let me introduce you to the way the FDA actually works.
Lots of stuff is easy to DIY if you have some work space. Furniture, fish tanks, thermonuclear warheads. Learning to sew is valuable, not because you should make your own clothes -fuck that- but because you can mend the stitching on your current clothes.
One of those things is not like the other…
Not related to the article, totally anecdotal, and n=1, but it seems Google Maps has really dropped the ball as well.
Quality knives do not have to be super expensive. The trick is to maintain them. Honing of course, and unless you are a super enthusiastic home cook, a proper sharpening by a pro on Japanese wet stone twice a year is all it takes. That’s like at most USD 20 in most places, probably less. Even mid range knives are fine, so long as you keep them sharp.
And you don’t need a lot. In theory a good chefs knife and a good paring knife will do. In practice, you also want a bread knife and filleting knife, but you can start small.
arc’teryx for life.
There is a trick to cleaning all cheese covered things! Wash it in cold water. Not hot or warm, cold. If the water is just a little bit warm it essentially melts the cheese so all it does is smear and not clean.
Yes! I got a chinois (“China cap”). My grave was silky smooth this year. And a mother of pearl spoon for caviar.
You called?
