The ending of the second season finale has some fans in a fire-breathing uproar: “Great episode, but it had no business being a ‘HOTD’ finale.”

I don’t know why show runners think cliffhangers are a good thing still.

It’s not back in the day cable where a show was off for 6 months. It’s a month or two of a show, then a year or two till it starts again.

Give fans a satisfying ending every season. And they’ll want to come back. Expect them to still care in 22 months, and you’ll rarely be right.

Plus a lot of shows get canceled so for some of us we Don’t watch a series unless it’s complete. Fucking studios thinking it still network cable with the ratings. Why I refuse to watch a single show on Netflix unless done. Why get involved and enjoy a show that ends on a cliff hanger and gets Fucking canceled. Same for HBO fuck them won’t do it. Now Amazon been pretty good keeping shows going and finishing them so I do watch them when they air.

Only show new show I picked up recently since the multi year hiatus trend was Shogun and it was due to it being initially announced as a miniseries.

It was like they tried to make it climactic at the end, but achieved the exact opposite, rather making it fairly underwhelming.

Literal what I said as the credits rolled. I thought we’d get one more dragon fight.

I guess I was expecting the same format as game of thrones where they would have a longer, epic episode as the penultimate for the season and do some falling action/fallout from the previous episode for the season finale. As I finished watching it I thought, “wow that was a great climax for the season, I look forward to the season finale next week”

People waited 2 years for this slow season that repetively dragged out the plot due to budget, and now viewers get to wait another 2 years hoping the next season doesn’t feel like filler.
