This is great. Rider pretty much carried me through my first year at uni, considering that visual studio does not work on Linux. The neovim plugin for C# that I used kept crashing for me, glad to see non students also getting a chance to try out this software.
I literally just installed it on a spare laptop. I was going to install the lts, but saw a new release and couldn’t resist. Things seem pretty good so far.
You can get GPS systems that upload data using a SIM. Only viable if you live somewhere with cheap roaming plans. Last I checked, a local company was selling the hardware (without sim) for 200EUR. The thing I was trying to protect was 120-ish.

systemdBoot is supposed to be true, not a typo. But yeah, I don’t use plasma much so I don’t really know how to solve the issue… Sorry for that!
The template is supposed to be something that you put in your own systemd services. plasma-kwin_x11.service and plasma-kwin_wayland.service both already have it.
If I have to guess, it is probably a bug that will get fixed sometime in the future, meaning this is not a viable solution until then. Sorry for that.
Just as a last bit of troubleshooting, check if cat ~/.config/startkderc shows systemBoot = true. If it does not, run kwriteconfig6 --file startkderc --group General --key systemdBoot true. I doubt this will change much, but still worth trying.

Gnome is working on a gui for this, but it will probably be a while until that is out. I feel like it is pretty safe to use the cli for this one.
I have been playing Abiotic Factor with a friend. Most fun I have had since lethal company. Really cool progression and the map is just amazing. The new update has a few rough edges, but otherwise good.
As for single player, terrafirmagreg in Minecraft.
Maybe systemd-homed is the solution you are looking for. The arch wiki has a page for it. And this can be better for your use case because only your home folder needs decryption and not the whole drive.

Indie wiki buddy. Fandom often times comes on top for most searches, but many games actually have their official wikis elsewhere. This extension hides fandom links for unofficial fandom wikis.
Fish shell. I switched to fish ages ago, back when I didn’t know much bash scripting. Now I am just so used to it that I don’t wanna switch back. Plus it just works.

The closest I got was by just using avalonia. I had to use winforms for my uni and convincing my teachers to allow my team to use avalonia was not easy. Avalonia is not even remotely similar to winforms. You can try setting up a VM, but I understand that it is not a real solution. I found some docs for an old version of mono which referenced some of the winforms API, but I had no luck running it.
If you are using davinci on your system a lot, you can try their pre-packaged iso. They recommend rocky Linux nowadays and also provide an iso for it.
As for nix Vs arch, I still prefer arch. This is not because nix is bad, but because I have used arch for a long time. I use nix on my laptop because I want that reliability, but I will probably never switch to nix on my desktop. I still find that I can debug my mistakes easier on arch, but with nix I can just git checkout oldcommit. With that being said, I do have a distrobox container with arch in my nix machine, if I really wanna install something quickly.

Oh wow, that’s really bad wtf. I would not mind it if it meant that the employees also get paid that much extra. But by looking at another comment here, it looks to me as if that is not the case. Really sad how undeserving of our support this system is, especially in the USA.
That’s great to hear! Always nice more new programmers. Minecraft modding is great, and it also provides you with a platform with a lot of reach and a lot of really amazing devs willing to help. My most successful project to date has been a simple Minecraft mod. Keep it up and good luck on your modding adventures!
I mostly use shell-gpt and ask it trivial questions. Saves me the time for switching to a browser. I have it always running in a tmux pane. As for code, I found it helpful for getting started when writing a functionality, but the actual engineering part should be done manually imo. As for spending money on it, depends on how you benifit from it. I spend about 50c on my openai API key, but I know a friend who used ollama (I think with some mistral derivative) locally on a gaming laptop with decent enough results.
In terms of pve, I am not patient at all. I would have not made it through elden ring without bleed. If I have to go through a 15 hour long quest to increase my efficiency in something by 1.5%, sign me up.
