Not sure about the repo route, never went that deep with Chrome. Firefox has always been my mainstay (and Netscape before it.)

Simple solution. Don’t use Chrome.

I’ve done it in the past. It’s always a bit of work. But I really only need it for a handful of things at the most.

Next time I build a gaming machine it will be Linux based. 2x GPU’s and I’ll do a IOMMU passthrough to a Windows VM for any games that I still need it for. I have several machines and all but two are linux currently. My recording studio is Windows because I have too much invested in software at this point. And this rig which is my main\gaming pc. And if it wasn’t for some anticheat systems I would wipe this thing right now.

Windows is only one of many of their products and it’s not the biggest money maker anymore.

Apple has their niche, but you’ll never find me owning a Mac. They are not useful for me. And fuck the proprietary nature of Apple in general.

That being said, I run 64GB of RAM and it’s glorious!

My 2 cents: Living in a climate that gets all the seasons, a car makes things much easier in the winter for numerous reasons. Also, as someone that lives with chronic pain issues, walking or biking places on a daily is quite difficult for me, again, having a car resolves this.
