If you’re going to make a lewd ad about finding nuts, having his face stuffed between a man’s legs makes way more sense imo.

Dropdown terminals always remind me of bringing up the console in video games—especially Quake 3 engine games.
The tradeoff of integrated, non-upgradable RAM is not worth it though. I know SOCs have many benefits, but gradually destroying the modularity of computers is probably the most anti-consumer and wasteful trend in technology.
If you’d like to run them on the same Ubuntu VM, I’d recommend deploying them using docker, as that will make avoiding port conflicts much easier as well as keeping each application isolated.
You should also look into a reverse proxy so you can reroute traffic from your desired subdomain to non-standard ports (otherwise you’ll need to specify ports in the URL which gets weird). I recommend Nginx Proxy Manager which can also run in docker.
You could spin up another VM for Lemmy if resources get tight and you don’t mind the extra cost.

We don’t think in “bits” at all because our brain functions nothing like a computer. This entire premise is stupid.
More users.
But seriously, more ports of and/or viable alternatives to professional applications. It’s the top reason people stick with Windows—even when they don’t like it.
You can use party voice chat on your phone (Xbox app) while playing the game on your Linux PC.
Most distros can even connect to your phone via Bluetooth and you can mix the audio+microphone into your PC headset.
I’ve done this before in KDE Plasma and it worked seamlessly.
Is + when they stop counting versions and just use a SaaS model?
It’s way easier to move from one Linux distro to another if Valve starts enshittifying SteamOS (which would really suck) than it is to move from Windows to Linux. Either way this is a good stepping stone that’s well supported.
The easiest way is NextCloud.
I really hope they release this to consumers.
I don’t think Factorio ever goes on sale but imo it’s worth full price.
If you like Satisfactory, there’s an extremely high chance you’ll like Factorio. The main differences are the obvious 2D top-down vs 3D 1st person and Factorio has a robust military/combat system with base defense while Satisfactory is mostly peaceful unless you’re exploring.
Looks promising, but it hasn’t been released yet. I hope they make arm64 builds.
Factorio.
Everything—the gameplay, the music, the art style—feels like I hand selected it. There’s not a single decision the devs made that I wouldn’t have made too.
Absolutely. Tell your friends and family members too: Don’t connect your TV to the internet. They are slow, buggy, insecure, and a privacy nightmare.
HTPCs are ideal, but unfortunately they are can be a little cumbersome for people who just want to maximize convenience.
Streaming sticks are equally bad on privacy, but they generally perform better (than TVs), are supported longer, and most importantly: they can be easily swapped out if they stop meeting your needs.
That being said, what kind of HTPC distros do y’all recommend? I’ve been using an NVIDIA Shield Pro for a while and I’ll probably go Linux HTPC when this thing finally dies.
Yeah, not to mention it’s a little violent for mixed audiences.
