Thank you!! I read the first article about it and was worried Google killed support for the cast protocol. But it’s literally a rebrand for a new product. Yes, they are discontinuing the 4k basic Chromecast but I guess it didn’t sell enough? I don’t expect any company to indefinitely offer a product because I seem to like it personally.
Not that I want to particularly defend Google, they do have track record of killing useful products. But this is not that.
The one with Google tv is an excellent ship for sailing the Black Sea. Get yourself a vpn, streamio, and realdebrid, and you’re set. Not that I would know
Ha, yes! I’m also enjoying the second most important thing: the fat paycheck
How you gonna take 3 weeks vacation when an iteration is 2?! And how you gonna expect any dev to do anything without a daily stand up??? You need to be more AGILE dude
I just started a corporate job a while ago and they still can’t really tell me what I’ll be doing. My onboarding plan suggests that in month 2-3 I’ll be ready to get into it. Like, dude, wtf?
Basically Jodel but decentralised? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tellm.android.app
Just use NeXtCloUD
The reality is that there is no real alternative to the office suite including outlook. That is a real problem but just using Linux is not the answer.
How do you like it better than chat gpt? Isn’t it the same thing?
I didn’t say anything, but the post you’re originally referring to is not talking about max speeds either, but ranges. I.e. average speeds. In a hilly city you might well reach 30 or even 60kph downhill. But it’s then even less likely to hit that as an average, at some point you will have to go up that hill again.
Totally agree on changing the view of city planners though. Even if I’m lucky enough to live in a city where this already very much reality.
It’s not too bad, really! Provided the trains are on time. And the fact that it takes away from the freedom of a bike only commute. As in, the thing I love about biking is that it’s all up to me. If I leave on time and my equipment is maintained well, there’s few things, short of a flat or crash, or a similar unforeseen condition, that will slow me down. And if I need to go faster I go harder. Absolutely love biking past a good traffic jam.
You are indeed delirious it seems! There’s absolutely no way to average 30kph in a city. Not even with an E-Bike capped at 45kph max. Even on flat open ground, no traffic, no traffic lights, stops, whatever, a 30kph average is a approaching a road bike training average. It’s an utterly impossible speed for a normal commuter on a city bike.
Bike infrastructure can be combined with other modes of transport. My daily commute is 56km in a mix of bike, bike in train, bike. Around 45min per way. I’m certainly not the only one either.
It’s your prerogative to find them insufferable is what I meant to say. Your criticism and opinions are fair enough.
That’s a dick way of saying fuck off but I mean they do provide a free service. If they have a vision and don’t want to deal with random people whining about it that’s their prerogative. Same as yours to find that utterly insufferable.
That’s yeah. … Bigger corps have people specifically organising the SharePoint (amongst other responsibilities). Tbh I don’t think that’s all too strange, I used to spend a couple of hours every other month sorting my personal files.
On the Chromecast, one of the other reasons I got one. There’s some localised content I get to access like that.
I considered a VPN on the router but a) the router provided by our ISP doesn’t support that, so it would be another investment and b) I didn’t want to introduce a potential point of headache for when I’m not around. I.e. my non tech savvy partner having trouble with the VPN.
Nah, a Chromecast with Google TV is a super cheap and reliable way to sail the high seas. Stremio, VPN, some kind of debrid service. Works better than any legal streaming service my friend told me. Not that I would ever try to hurt the poor studios.
Tbh privacy aside the only way to get any LLM to sound like you is to train it on your data. If that would be possible locally I’d be all for it. Maybe not necessarily got SMS but certainly for work mail.
The best thing is these companies will say it’s not violation of your privacy because they sell the data without a direct link to your name or address. But guess what? They bundle it with all kinds of other identifiers like age, sex, weight, approximate location, whatever else you give them. The insurance company then takes that and modifies the category that is specifically this age bracket, approximate location, weight, age, beer and donuts in the fridge. And surprise! You fit all these “anonymous” identifiers.
But no harm done, your identity is safe 👍
