Nice username.
I’m also running an Ifixit battery and have had zero problems save for the original battery being DOA out of the box. 3 in a row is really bad luck.
Streisand effect for me. Never heard of this project until Nintendo caused a fuss.
Absolutely this. Find them online for $10 all day.
And no pop-up add bs.
They’re running Ventura, so they’re using something to get there. :)
Is this on iOS? My Mac has had WiFi disabled for six months, running Ethernet only. I have never had to turn it back off. Latest version of Monterey.
Looks like that website got the ol’ “hug of death”. :)
The Google Ara was supposed to be exactly this. I think it has since been abandoned. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Ara#:~:text=Google%20planned%20to%20launch%20a,planned%20consumer%20launch%20in%202017.
Open core legacy patcher has kept my 2012 MBP able to run modern versions of macos (currently on latest update to Monterey). No stability issues, but AirDrop is flakey and I am no longer able to run anything in a VM using Apple’s hypervisor. It runs well; might be worth looking into for your use case.
Same. But I do miss it.
also on LG smart TVs
Google Music was the only place I bought music digitally other than iTunes, and I used it religiously. I downloaded all of my personal music uploaded to Google Music before it closed with the intention of running my own Plex server. A friend who works IT security scared me into not running an externally-accessible Plex server.
So I fight with the YouTube Music app being complete dogshit on CarPlay. If you think the app is bad on mobile, just try the CarPlay version. Unusable.
Another vote for iPod with Rockbox installed.
