Oof, so the price has gone up but this is what I am using: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B001CJIHFI

Does an old work sock count as a filter? I could use the gasoline though…
Oops, replied to the wrong comment, in actual answer to your question:
I’m using a Cricut vinyl cutter but would never recommend one to anyone, their locked down cloud app is terrible. After I get a stencil cut I stick it down and then mask off the entire rest of the glass with tape. For a blaster I am using a tiny one that looks like an airbrush, it was ~$100CAD on Amazon. I use a pair of old socks as gloves in the side of a big clear plastic tub they keep the grit inside and let the air out! And that’s about it, I just blast all the exposed glass until it is frosted, I don’t think you can ever blow right through but if I hit one spot for too long there is a step in the glass at the edge of the pattern.
That’s a good point, probably made of cadnium glass.

I took this approach as well but I let Grub add Windows as a boot option. No mashing keys at post and Windows doesn’t get to touch Grub or Debian.
The screenshot is a little lackluster but the video below shows it off better. The camera is an APSC sensor but the picture fills a full frame with very little vignetting. Up to 100x it looks pretty good but yeah, the DoF is literally micrometers thick.
FreeCAD has a steep learning curve, I’ve only just started with it, but it seems to cover every possible use case. Good luck!
Just PLA, I’ve only had the printer for a week. It will make it though the winter but I’m not sure about the rest of this summer.
You can import an image to an image plane using the Image Workbench then scale it. After that it can be shown or hidden like any other part of your design so you can just trace over it.
Yup, 2010 B2500.
I plan on cranking out replacement and upgraded parts for it now that I got the stringing under control.
I have an old set of vernier calipers that got me all of the non-curved measurements.
Glad you liked it!
Thanks, I ended up using a photo to get the profile into FreeCAD. It’s not a friction fit but with the phone in place it’ll never move.
When I had ME the first time around I do remember there being some stability issues but I never had it totally brick, even with the assload of sus softeware that came from Kazaa and Morpheus.

If it looks like it’s never been wet plug it into a power bar so you can flip it off if anything goes ‘wrong’. If you aren’t sure it’s totally dry a day in a warm room wont hurt it (I left mine in the garage for a week but mostly out of apathy).
The board was soaked and needed cleaning, the rca jacks were broken off and the screen had some deep scratches. I was only able to get the scratches about halfway polished out though, cerium isn’t quite aggressive enough.
I read the can this time and did 3 or 4 thin coats of each colour in stead of my normal approach.
Thanks, I was surprised how glossy it came out for rattle can paint.
Thanks, the vinyl is a little fiddly to work with but it’s worth the work for one off pieces.
