If the only reason google doesn’t have a monopoly on web standards is because firefox “exists”, then I think Google does in fact have a monopoly on web standards. Other browsers exists besides chrome and firefox ones, some like Konqeror even work pretty well for how old they are, but I think firefox is eventually going to see the same fate as netscape slowly becoming more and more irrelevant, and unlike netscape they can’t exactly sue Google for anti-trust (at least not without losing 90% of their funding)

LibreWolf is better, includes ublock and no tracking by default.

There are good chromium based browsers too, I’m not aware of Vivaldi having any major controversies or shady business decisions in recent years, it has a built in adblock thats independent of chromium’s upstream.

If you disqualify every browser due to its upstream having issues then you should probably revert to using CURL or something convoluted like what richard stallman does. Every browser that exists today is a fork of some browser that previously was good but started to suck.

You could ask the same about “free market” capitalism, it’s impossible to have a successful truely capitalists economy too, the US is a mixed economy, China is also a mixed economy… Any future “socialist” based country would still have a mixed economy… The issue is not socialism vs capitalism, it’s a question of how much regulation is needed for the economy in order to minimize the suffering of people overall while increasing the average quality of life.

You mostly just have to use your judgment. Sites that steal names probably are just trying to cash in on ads, its not really that they are outright malicious though (not always anyway), and if youre acessing them by using prowlarr as opposed to going to the site in a dedicated tab then you probably have nothing to worry about.

All these clone sites are just using the same feeds and magnet links for sources, they have no original content so if you ad too many your results get cluttered but torrents on them shouldn’t be any less safe than tpb or 1337x

DuckDNS will mitigate your issues with not having a staic IP (alternatively theres any number of DynDNS programs you can look into if for example you already own your own domain name)

Nginx-Proxy-Manager allows you to forward ports based on the domain used to connect so, you might not even need it really but if you wanted for exmple to have an address like mysupercoolnas.duckdns,org rediect to one proxmox vm and mycoolassitant.duckdns.org to reditect to HA you could do that. Or you could just have one DynDNS setup and use port forwarding on your router to handle what ports direct to which VM.

HA has add-ons for duckns and nginx-proxy-manager which should solve this… Or alternatively use those things in docker or by installing on your host OS.

The shield is still the best even if it is old. If you want a cheaper device the “onn” ones Walmart sells are pretty good for the price.

Have you tried macchanger? Also don’t disable network manager,.normally you should be able to change your Mac in network manager but it sounds like maybe you’re following a tutorial of some kind that might not be right.
