Every game needs a battle cry button!
Every game needs a battle cry button!
The game uses archive files to package the game files and if one file changes then that breaks all the mods, and since there are several key files it essentially breaks that entire category of mod. So they aren’t as crazy as they sound even if you are correct.
Bethesda games are the only games I’ve ever played that don’t support ultrawide. Don’t get me wrong I’ve played other games that were released without it or it was buggy but in each case I put in a bug report and within a week or a month they patched it. Bethesda must have so much technical debt and spaghetti code that they can’t do it and they don’t care enough about their players to even try.
Just the illuminate (third faction) is missing from Helldiver’s 1, which I’m sure they’ll add in the coming months as they continue to port over content from HD1. I wouldn’t be surprised to find new content in the future that wasn’t from HD1 so I think we’ll see another faction or at the least new enemies.
Microsoft certainly tries it’s best to keep you locked into their ecosystem by making it inconvenient but not impossible to leave though that’s not the real reason, it’s security. Businesses and especially governments are scared of nation state hackers contributing malicious code to open source products and falsely assume it’s safer to use closed source software because those incidents aren’t public. There’s so much great software out there I’d love to use and the first question I’m asked when I bring it up is can you prove China hasn’t contributed code?
Yes, I’m comparing the threat level based on the maximum potential akin to the likes of “those apps”. Permissions are straightforward and will protect users just like ad blockers, decentralized static frameworks (JavaScript/CSS/fonts), and clearing cookies. But on average users are not well informed and aren’t considering permissions, add-ons, or even which browser or app they use so I compare based on the potential threat level.
Phone apps have access to significantly more data than a browser does, especially when people haphazardly agree to any and all permissions.
It’s just an incentive to install the app, the amount of data being harvested and sold/traded is basically the new economy.
And you know the cars aren’t going to stop generating the data either for when they decide they want it.
I don’t think paying bills is a flex he’d understand, in fact he probably thinks anyone that doesn’t cheat the system is a fool.
Just set this up last night, it’s very handy for working with pdf’s.
The hyper text markup language programming language?
It’s a lot more fun with other players as you can handle the higher difficulties which can be a lot more rewarding. That said as a solo player medium makes for a good casual solo play and challenging offers more of a challenge but is still very doable for a solo helldiver.
I personally usually stick to friends or solo instead of doing public games as I didn’t have a great experience with my first when some guy joined as we were waiting on extraction and when the three of us got in he just mag dumped into our faces killing us and then hopped in so we lost all of our samples but that was just one game so hardly a good sampling of the community. Also the official discord is full of people looking for a group or pickup games and I imagine those players aren’t trolls.
All that said this game is absolutely fantastic and if you like shooters this is a fun one.
As someone who loves the bells and whistles and who recently bought a new vehicle last year a lot of the safety features are really nice to have but of all the tech features I thought I wanted I don’t really use. If I can conveniently stream audio from my phone or have a larger screen than my phone for navigation that’s placed somewhere I can glance at I would be happy. At least that’s what I’d tell my past self.
That said I wouldn’t be too paranoid about the data the car is collecting because your cell phone and everyones phone around you is collecting the same information (edit: not that you shouldn’t be concerned about that either). It’s just that these manufacturers are realizing theres money to be made here, it’s probably why GM wants to stop including Apple Car play or Android Auto so there’s less fingers in the cookie jar.
Could you imagine living somewhere that you could commute locally and just work remotely and not need such a finacial burden in your life? What a fantasy 😔
A lot of it has to do with things like Android Auto or Apple car play where the software needs access to your text message to read it to you and may need to send it to a more powerful cloud base system to translate your voice to text or the response from text into voice. These are legitimate reasons for using that data despite the taboo nature of how we view privacy and there are workarounds and technological breakthroughs that make it so those things can be done locally without sending it for processing but there’s pros and cons for technical reasons not to. That said does a system need to read every text message on your phone just to read out a text you’ve only just received absolutely not and this is where things get into the grey area.
The problem is that if you want that car you have to agree to these data policies that are very blatantly just trying to to take all of the data they can to monetize either directly from selling or trading or indirectly like improving services. What we need are strong laws in place to protect privacy but that’s an uphill battle when politicians are beholden to capitalism.
So to go back and actually answer your original question, yes, encryption is our only means or privacy assuming in this case signal encrypts data at rest.
To me it reads like the recruiter thought the person was a troll and banned them.
If Californians can destroy a car blocking traffic New Jersey wants this privilege too.
Most internet usage is mobile and people use whatever’s preinstalled on their phone because it just works is my guess.
Why you gotta call out the psyops groups out there, you know how hard they’re already working. There’s no time for coming up with new campaigns when the old ones work so well.
I had a terrible experience playing with random matchmaking but asking in discord if anyone wants to play or hop on a voice channel made the experience much better and cut out the trolls.
