If your craptop is using an HDD instead of an SSD, replacing it with an SSD would be a cheap upgrade you could do that would make a massive improvement.
Last time I tried it, the prebuilts packages didn’t work, and the version I built from source couldn’t recognize any graphics or video outputs to use 😞

Nah, it’s user error. Torx also has the problem. I’ve had to rescue multiple laptops from one of the IT guys at my work because he keeps using a Torx bit a couple sizes too small and stripping the heads.
Ryobi cordless tools because I’m a light duty user. Wiha screwdrivers because I’m worth it (and they are worth it). And the nice Hakko soldering tools because I use those more.
