  • I installed mint recently and I kept the windows partition because I thought I would need to dual boot a lot but I haven’t launched windows in the past couple of months

I have a laser HP all-in-onr that I thought I’d have issues with but it worked automatically with the printing and scanner app, not even in windows it works so strangely

My only issue right now were self inflicting, because I created a shared NTFS partition to keep media a torrents and it sometimes give privilege errors after a bit update (it wouldn’t happen if it was ext3 from what I’ve been reading)

My wife needs to use the computer occasionally and I think she had more issues with windows 11 than mint, the only “issue” was that she was trying to find Microsoft word instead of openoffice

  • My closest bus stop is 1.5 miles away and the bus runs every hour (or so they claim)

The city added some sort of public “uber” that you can hail and ride for I think $2 but it only works within city limits and my wife has many friends in the neighboring cities so it was useless if she wanted to meet them, and also sometimes it’d take more than an hour for a pick up

  • I worked a while for phone customer service (don’t recommend even to my worst enemies) and we only gave nice stuff to angry people. Basically I couldn’t do anything on my level other than follow the script, but if they asked for a supervisor they usually they got their issues solved more quickly and with some free stuff included, so after that experience I always try to be polite at the beginning but if they are not being helpful I ask them to escalate my issue and play angry

  • Meta makes (a little) more sense

In the context of artificial intelligence, LLM typically stands for “Large Language Model.” The “I” in LLM specifically refers to “Intelligence,” but it’s often implied or omitted, and the term is commonly abbreviated as LLM.

However, if you’re referring to a different context or field, please provide more information or clarify what LLM stands for in that specific case, and I’ll do my best to help!

Seems like meta refers to LLaMA when responding the question

  • These are the ones I listen to the most, I think all of them are weekly

    • secretly incredibly fascinating. They talk about a simple topic and expand it with a lot of trivia and the hosts are very funny.
    • 99% invisible. Mostly about architecture that you don’t notice but they give a lot of cool info (lately some episodes get off topic or I simply don’t like them but they have a huge archive that I listen to)
    • my brother my brother and me: just stupid comedy from 3 brothers giving “advice”
    • dear Hank and John: the brothers Green giving science-ish advice

  • I learned with calm.com

They have a course of mediation for beginners or something like that and they “teach” different methods so you can choose whichever suits you the most

There used to be a 3-month trial which is enough to go through the course (I didn’t keep my subscription), I’m not sure if they still offer trials like that
