I can’t help but notice how many extensions have some form of “(Chat)GPT” in the name.
When you put it like that, yeah, it doesn’t really make sense. It’s not like it’s gonna go out of stock…
But I can think of a few reasons. Maybe they have the money to pay for it now, but might not have it later. Or they just want to watch it the second it becomes available.
Those were all meant to be experienced in theaters.
That’s high praise.
Thanks, but don’t go putting my opinion on some high pedestal. I don’t exactly have the best taste in film…
As someone who isn’t that big on musicals…absolutely.
Was honestly one of the best movies I’ve seen in 2024.
When talking about box office grosses, Hollywood never adjusts for inflation unless specified otherwise.
Grease (1978): $328 million
Wicked (2024): $634.3 million
Unadjusted for inflation, of course.
Seems very suspicious that the CEO is getting paid millions while Firefox’s market share is dropping like an anvill.
I think that money would be better spent on improving the browser and making sure there are more privacy protections, maybe even set an example for other browsers to follow. Make average people actually want to use Firefox instead of Chrome.
Is it really more effort to pirate? I’m not sure I agree with that.
Relative to your own experience and tech expertise, it’s easier. Look at this through the eyes of an average person. More people use smartphones than computers/laptops (and if they use laptops, it’s likely that they’re running a locked-down OS like ChromeOS). They probably don’t even know what a file or folder/directory is, much less a “torrent”.
“So you’re telling me I need to install this app that’s not on the official App Store to ‘download’ a movie, in the process exposing my IP address and potentially getting me in hot water with my ISP? Sounds dangerous to my security, better stick with Netflix and Amazon Prime.”
Jenkins says there are already three Popeye slasher flicks in the works.

I don’t think piracy has that big of an effect on box office.
Most people don’t know how to pirate properly and are too afraid of “viruses” and navigating file systems to do it.
If piracy really were that big of a problem, they wouldn’t be doing this.
Yeah, it boggles me why Universal would do this. It feels like they’re leaving money on the table.
Maybe it’s not performing as well as they’d hoped?
I know, this is my first time hearing about that community and I wanted to spread the word.
I guess you can say they…divested from DivestOS.
In all seriousness, I’m gonna need to find a new browser.
As someone who was eagerly anticipating this movie and saw it in theaters, it’s a shame that it ended up having a terrible box office gross. I thought it was really good, and I appreciated the fact that I got to see 2D animation on the big screen again.
I think the best-case scenario for Rohirrim is that it blows up on streaming and digital.

Nowhere near as capable and a little slow, but it’s still great for a beginner.
Think of it as an open-source version of Windows Movie Maker or iMovie.
I honestly didn’t expect this, even though I was rooting for Sonic 3.
And Blu-ray beats them both.
