This movie is a masterpiece. I’ve seen it more times than I’d like to admit.

Lucky you. My dad died from cancer when I was 14. That was rough.
Recently my mom died at 70 years old. The last time I saw my mom alive was at her sister funeral a month before. Three months later, her last remaining sister died. Same year my brother in law also died. 2022 was so far the worst year of my life. Covid was not the reason for any of the deaths.
But hey, no matter how bad things might be, they can always get worse.
The 24 meter version is running in Trondheim, Norway. They currently have 58 busses, and are planning to increase with more routes. The city has plenty of narrow streets and a few steep hills, but it doesn’t seem to be a problem unless the weather is extreme in the winter.
It amazes me that one of the largest countries in the world, with the most diverse demographics, can only chose between two candidates. This is not democracy. It’s a shit show that has been going on for far too long.
Android: “Check out all these options. You can customise it just as you’d like”
Apple: “Check it out! This is the best user interface ever. No need for customisation”
Gerd is a female name where I’m from. You should stick with neek.
Licensing: the same code i compiled yesterday doesn’t compile today.
Artificial Intelligence is a bad word for this technology. Why are we not using the proper name for it? Machine Learning. Its not intelligent, and it might not be for a long time. Feed it crap, and you’ll receive crap.
I bet the mentality is: “why would i want to have a bus stop when I always use my car”.
As opposed to “it would have beed nice to have a bus stop so that I don’t need to use my car”
Considering that a 12V battery has an internal resistance of 20 milliohms, the potential current through this thing would be approximately 600A.
It might be too hot to handle (pun intended)
If you are against people who are against fascists, wouldn’t that indirectly say you don’t care about fascism? And that’s how fascism gets a foothold. And with that logic, you indirectly support fascism.
I agree. Because of this, I actually changed carrier to one that was cheaper, had better coverage and free eSIM.
I tried to transfer my eSIM from my old S21 to my new S24 the other day. It failed miserably. My carrier charges me $10 for a new eSIM (which i think is way too much for a digital service). Transferring eSIMs sounds like a good idea if it works, but might not be endorsed by carriers that earn large profits from the service.
I’m not American, but I’ve lived a few years in the US. I find it very interesting that the US invented the electric infrastructure that we use today, but they really screwed up a few things. Firstly, the connectors are far too unsafe. They are flimsy and have no protection from electrocution. Secondly, by using 120V as the main voltage, you need more current to do the same amount of work as a 240V system. Thay means thicker wires, more stress on the plugs, and greater fire hazards.
Shuko plugs FTW
I bought an Aeropress a few years ago and absolutely love it. Then I realised that my cheap grinder wasn’t all that great, so I bougt a $400 grinder. My quality of life is at its peak right now.
If you use Sync for Lemmy, you can add filters that removes certain topics of your choosing.
I’d use linux in a heartbeat if it was supported by the tools I use for work.
