Almost all of these the game literally tells you about right there in the GUI… When you are building, you get an info bar telling you what button combinations do what. This is smart enough to even depend on what exactly you are building, so it will not tell you about R for build modes when you are building things that don’t have build modes.

Another small thing not everyone knows about: when building normal hyper tubes or pipelines, you can rotate the end point vertically as well. While placing it ( hold left mouse button), you can drag the cursor up/down for elevation, but you can also use the scroll wheel to tilt the connector. This allows for more aesthetic long gradients, without having “steps” on the connectors.

I stand corrected. But I think any “odd” angles such as in this case, where the rotation seems to be somewhat at 20 degrees, would be even more uncommon.

The device needing more power won’t get it, simple. Depending on what device it is, it will automatically throttle down so it needs less power, but obviously it will also deliver less performance while so throttled. And if the power is missing during a very sensitive part of a process so there’s no time to throttle down, your PC could blue screen or restart.

The always are inter operability issues on a federal level in Germany, because of the strong level of individuality of each state. That has little to do with Windows vs Linux.

Any project that has to aggregate data on a federal level is technically challenging and accompanied by a ton of political sensitiveness. The states tend to see any attempt at standardization as an attack on their state freedoms.

In terms of gameplay, it has elements of survival, crafting, stealth, fighting/shooting, and navigation.

I consider Kojima games pieces of art. Not everyone will enjoy them, sure, but it’s worth having at least attempted to interact with them, purely to experience their hard to forget uniqueness. Those that find the gameplay enjoyable often rank it as a game of the decade in terms of memorability.

Pissing while standing is only ok when a proper urinal is available. Pissing in toilet while standing imparts too much kinetic energy on the pee, causing violent splashing. Yes, even if you aim at an angle. And aim will always falter at the end anyway with decreasing water pressure…

My intent was just to provide a viewpoint from someone that loves and uses Linux aplenty, but spends a lot of time with Max quality gaming, using high end hardware.

And while things have improved massively over the past years and probably will get even better in the next years, nvidia’s monopoly on top performance GPU means I’m being bottle necked by their shitty Linux support.

Sure, I can play almost any game out there on Linux, but not with the performance and sometimes not even the same quality I can achieve with Windows. I know this is no fault of Linux, but it’s the pragmatic reality I’m confronted with.

Still a couple deal breakers for me, though most stuff otherwise runs fine. No HDR support. Sucks if you have a great monitor but can’t use it. No nvidia broadcast. Necessary for my mic+speaker setup, common alternative such as noisetorch are convenient, but don’t even come close to echo filtering quality from the speakers. Yes, that’s super subjective obviously. Performance tends to be noticeably to only slightly worse on max settings with nvidia on highly specialized, very demanding games. Some anti cheat tools struggle with compatibility modes.

We’re getting there, but it’s tough with nvidia not caring. :/

Kind of a bad example, because mankind very clearly stems from ‘humankind’. And people are lazy and prefer using short words. The unfairness is rather that women got stuck with the words requiring more characters. But that is a phenomenon of the English language and not present in others.

You underestimate how little money such a dlc makes. It’s the same reason why the promised SP addon for GTA 5 was cancelled. Return of investment is magnitudes higher for any GTA online content. Making a new car model is little effort and brings in millions of dollars.

Having to deal with story, level design, voice actors and possibly animators or even Mocap: soooooo much more work. Sure they could do it, and even Earn good money with it. But online pay dlcs are so little effort for so much more payout , why even bother?

Rockstar hated what FiveM did, even threatening them at the start because they were afraid it would compete with their own online service. And now they bought them up, but only after realizing how much more people ( or rather their wallets) they can possibly reach.

Interesting, will have to read up on how that works in Brazil. We also have a separate tax id here ( which is also used for pension and social security ), but that one is even more secure/private than the passport ID. We only provide that to our chosen medical insurance provider ( bc they need to register it with the ministry of finance ) as well as employers ( because 50% of the insurance has to be paid by employers).

Where do you live that providing your government id to a business is standard? In Germany, the only one outside of a judge to be allowed to request that is law enforcement ( even then only with proper cause ). Of course, some businesses are legally required to request and process your ID number ( e.g. when booking international flights, medical insurance companies etc), but these are under tight federal control and supervision to ensure data safety.

Age verification sometimes is a thing for purchasing 18+ things ( media or drugs like alcohol & smokes), but even then businesses will only ever perform a visual check of the date of birth on your ID. Technically they can never demand to hold your ID, not even for a short time just to better read the date. You only have to show them your ID. And actually recording and/or storing any of that information would be insanely illegal.

Germany / Europe might have its issues, but we at least try and take our freedom and data privacy serious. I would never dream of handing my ID to a generic business like a club for anything more than the age check.

Yes. User Agent is a http header that is part of every request you send to a server. As such, it is 100% client side and it can be whatever you want, it’s just a text string. For layman users, I’d recommend using an addon for it, e.g. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/user-agent-string-switcher/
