The thing I miss about it is that it could run Leisurely Suit Larry 4. It won’t even launch on any other OS.

Fortunately this won’t be my first dance with dual booting Linux, I’ve tried it a half dozen times since the late 90s, going as far back as multibooting booting slackware, nt4 and win98. I’m sure I’ll go through a few distros before settling on one that works for me. I’ve also got 6 drives in my pc (2 nvme, 2 sata ssd and 2 HDD) so I have lots of room to play. One major thing for me is HDR support which is pretty new in Linux so I’m not sure where we stand on that.

All of the random BS it requires is a bit of a turn off but the 10ish percent drop in gaming performance is a no go. Linux with proton should outperform the os the games are designed to run on but here we are.

My steam deck has taught me that I’ll be completely OK running linuxn(probably arch) as my daily driver with a win 11 dual boot (maybe just a vm?) for things that simply won’t work on proton.

Agreed. They are definitely the best open world survival (lite) games I have played but I also dislike survival games. Overall they are probably my 7th and 8th favourite Zelda games while removing the survival and crafting elements would push them in to my top 5.

There are also a few Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese dishes that use spam. Basically any place that has or has had a US military presence at some point has developed spam based dishes because they leave tons (literally) of the stuff behind when they pull the troops out.

I was 20 when TPM released and not a single person I knew liked it. It is still the most disappointing part of the franchise for me with ep2 being a close second. Ep3 was an improvement but still just ok.

Now I see people in their 20s and early 30s that live the prequels and it’s just strange to me. They’re no better than the sequels (and worse in some ways) so I really don’t understand people that enjoy them while crapping all over the newer films.

The prequels had a good story told incredibly poorly while the sequels have a bad story but at least it is told well (or at least better) and neither of those are recipes for a good film.

Resolution scale, not resolution. On my monitor I run a 4k resolution with a 125% resolution scale. When I undock the resolution scale stays at 125% so everything looks too large on the decks display.

I find that happens if my docked and undocked resolution scales are not the same.

They use the money they get from the US to buy weapons from the US. They serve the purpose of enriching the billionaire class.

Not always, the mister would need more elements to do an actual 1:1 for many newer consoles and the cores are often reverse engineered best guesses and not replicating the original asic design.

On the other hand, original hardware goes through revisions and the silicon can change (snes 1chip vs 2chip for example) while still be perfectly compatible so it really depends ho much of a stickler you are.
