For an operating company that’s the kiss of death. I predict Starlink will be bought by the US government and there won’t be a hell of a lot of profit.

"After a historic run-up in inflation, Americans are now starting to see something they haven’t in three years: deflation,” the Wall Street Journal reports.
“To be sure, deflation—that is, falling prices—is largely confined to appliances, furniture, used cars and other goods. Economywide deflation, when prices of most goods and services continuously fall, isn’t in the cards.”
“But economists say goods prices likely have further to fall, which will ease inflation’s return to the Federal Reserve’s 2% target, perhaps as early as the second half of next year"
Got the goods on Trump and friends through this ability.
Note to self: buy toilet paper
Does anyone know that a storm flooded parts of Miami yesterday? Should have been in the news, but it had no name. Locals are calling it the “no name spinner”
Time to bust out the checkbook, Zuck.
I have varied taste. I like to follow news reporters for one.i simply find one I like and see who he or she follows and start from there. Bluesky, though doesn’t have my needed blues music and geology feeds that Twitter has.
I find Bluesky to be a nice clean interface but without the variety of users that xTwitter has or had.
So while Ukraine relies on the US, Germany, Poland, Czechia, Italy, France, the UK…
Russia relies on… checks notes Iran and the DPRK
No country, not even the US, is not going to defend 8tself after being attacked. If human shields are used, you can try to take precautions but shit does happen when you’re being shot at.
After WWIi the UN created N Korea, because the Japanese that occupied the entire peninsula, had withdrawn and because the Soviets as well as the US both felt they should have control. Russia soon got bored with a sphere of influence in the Pacific.
Got it right so far?
The basic problem is that Palestinians never got their Gandhi. Instead they got violent ass clowns.
You’ve not even seen what is going to happen yet
Sure. Know a few Palestinians and their food isn’t too bad.
I don’t know that Iridium is still working. I think it’s been decommissioned. But, the US military has been looking for its replacement for years. Now, they could launch their own, or buy a network. Musk not getting RUS funds and losing a thousand satellites from orbit a year makes Starlink a prime candidate.
