And sleeveless! That’s the “sweet” part.

Sizes measured in songs? Is my shirt size a “Sweet Home Alabama”?
Do they think that will prevent COVID?
I think people need to go outside and interact with each other in person. That’s the best way to date.
This is part of how a much smaller army can defeat a larger invading force. The locals have all their supplies. The invading force has to bring everything with them.
I think the main thing holding them back is that people won’t be able to find them if they move to Lemmy or something similar. Posts here don’t come up in searches like Reddit posts do. The search function in Lemmy also needs a lot of tweaking to be useful for finding help in a community. I’m sure it will get there eventually, but for now they are stuck with Reddit.
I have posts that I’d like to remain visible and searchable for people needing help. In the last week I’ve gotten 2 questions about things I was helping someone with over a year ago. I would love to just sever all ties with Reddit, but that’s not fair to the people looking for help.
That would make sense. I only participate in 2 subs now that haven’t migrated. They aren’t local, but I am still subscribed to my city sub, although I haven’t participated in it in about a year. I didn’t even think about that. I guess it’s too late to anything now.
There are 2 subs that I participate in that haven’t migrated. One is for an app, and one is for a device. They are very niche and people need a lot of help with them. As of now, Reddit is the only place to get or offer help.
How about telepathy for half the people. That’s even more chaotic.
There are medications for bipolar.
Ryan Long will be so happy!
I’m not sure that would be the proper time to come out.
“No shirt, no shoes, no service”. You get kicked out of most places if you don’t have shoes.
My daughter used to say “that’s not fair” all the time. I would tell her “Life isn’t fair. If you expect it to be, you will only set yourself up for failure and disappointment.”
She never listened to me, though.
"Government is not reason, it is not eloquence,—it is force! Like fire, it is a dangerous servant, and a fearful master; never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.”
-George Washington (allegidly) The true author is debatable, but the quote is accurate, none the less.
Which is what happens when you put the government in charge of your food. Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, and Hugo Chávez, among many others, all starved millions of people to death. Many Americans are scared to give the government too much power. Unfortunately, the government finds a way to seize that power anyway. I’m sure they’ll find a way to control the food supply. The only thing people can do is oppose it at every turn. Everything evil that the government does is cloaked in altruism, and compassion. Some people see through that cloak. It’s a shame that more people don’t see through it.
I’m amazed at how many people look at the US as an evil invading power, and then wonder why the American people don’t want to let the government take more control over their daily lives. We see what they are doing all over the world, and we sure as hell don’t want it here. The US government is filled with the most evil and corrupt people this society has to offer. The fact that anyone would support anything those bastards do, or want to do, is beyond me.
