If you haven’t already checked it out, Armed and Dangerous is by the same studio and is very similar in terms of gameplay and humor. Not quite as polished, but a lot funnier in my opinion.

It’s definitely my favourite of the X-Wing/TIE Fighter games. I really like the story in it, focusing on a family caught up in the war.
Kind of you to assume “she” and not “37-year-old brony.”
Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth
These were some of my favourite games as a kid/teenager. There are a lot more but I didn’t want to dump a giant list in the comments.
I’ve played them all on my Steam Deck so they definitely run on linux.
Myst also has a pretty good series of novels that add a lot to the story.
The Outcast games (not to be confused with Outlast) have great world building, putting the kind of detail into the alien world that you’d expect from a really thorough high fantasy novel. The first game is a bit clunky even in its remake form, but the sequel “A New Beginning” is basically a modern action game.
You don’t really need to play the first to play the second. The main character starts with amnesia so everything gets explained to you again.
If this were a recent phenomenon, I would agree with you. But western fascism didn’t go away when the good times were rolling. It may have been quieter until recently, but these aren’t just scared imbeciles struggling through 21st century inequality.
My main issue with anything that flies and doesn’t have wings is that, if anything bad happens, it’s straight to the ground and everyone (probably) dies. Planes can at least glide if there’s an engine failure.
That said, we still have helicopters and hot air balloons, so I don’t see why we shouldn’t have dirigibles as well.
I have the opposite problem. I see a lot of funny memes but I had to check Reddit to find out about the Baltimore bridge collapsing. It’s probably because I have a lot of communities and instances blocked because of too many crappy people on them. News communities tend to attract a lot of people with polarized opinions so I had to get rid of a lot of them for the sake of my mental health. The tradeoff is it’s harder to stay informed.
I don’t have an account on Reddit so I just check the front page for headlines and don’t bother with the comments. Less engagement makes it easier to ignore the idiots, whereas on Lemmy I’m compelled to interact more.
I had to see the emergency ornithologist.
Mock… (yeah)
This was such a bad decision by Sony. Maybe there was a technical reason why it couldn’t be back-compat, but if there was any way they could have done it, they should have.
It doesn’t help that Sony is supporting it like it’s the Vita’s ugly cousin. If they made good games for it, people would buy it. Those who don’t get motion sick at least.
“Millennials have had it rough, but you know who really had it rough? A smaller subset of millennials!”
I’m sick of my generation.

I liked the first Wonder Woman until the ending, but Pedro Pascal was the only good part of WW84. I’m not sure why Patty Jenkins gets so much support when she’s more known for getting kicked off projects like Thor 2 and Wonder Woman 3.
Are there any downsides to setting your region to some place other than where you actually are?
Eat the rich software engineers.
I forgot what the original post was about. I just wanted to concur.
I saw this Criken video a while ago of him playing it with friends and it looks awesome. The video is hilarious too.
