Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice. Played it with headphones as many suggested. I had recently lost my uncle, who by the time he died, was in a pretty bad state mentally. Seeing and hearing things that weren’t there. Everyone out to get him. Calling to say the cops were trying to break into his home. No one was there.
He was a good guy and incredibly funny. Introduced me to the greatness of Monty Python at a young age. He was getting some better help near the end, finally. In part because he finally was accepting help.
He was a Vietnam vet, and from what everyone told me came back changed like so many did. This, in part, led to drug use that spiraled him down. Much better handled than some as he always held a job and such.
But the game made me think of what he might have been experiencing, and it was overwhelming for me. I think I stopped a third of the way through. It is very well done, but I just couldn’t deal with it.
Seems like the sort of injury you might see playing OOTP.
I think it absolutely is. I played it a bit at launch and didn’t find it near as bad as others but still set it aside. Started it fresh again with the expansion, and I had such a blast with it. You own it, so I see no reason not to a least give it a try.
Agreed, thanks for sharing it.
Yeah, it seems like they went on that buying spree to make themselves more attractive to sell.
Fuddy-duddy.
(You said I could)
It is way down the list, not even top 30. Pokémon tops all at 88 billion.
I’d free feed then, most likely. I have had multiple dogs before and free fed. Never had an issue other than sometimes you introduce a new puppy to it and that first day or two they overeat before realizing hey this stuff is always here.
This current dog, I told the vet she did that and he just shrugged and said some prefer to eat small amounts throughout the day rather than the twice a day I was adjusting to after three times a day.
My dog is almost two. She decided one day when she was about 6 months old that she was going to be a free feeder. Was such a quick change. One day, she is excited as could be to get food and scarf it all down. The next, she’d only eat about half of her helping and then the rest later in the day. As I type this, I hear her eating a bit now.
It wasn’t a huge deal since my previous dogs had been free feeders. I wasn’t planning to do that with her, but it works.
This is how I’ve used mine almost 100% of the time. I got it because a gaming laptop I had was getting a bit old. I use the Deck like I used that laptop. Moving from room to room as needed and hooked up to a TV in each.
I’m stuck in bed some days, so having something that is easily moved like the Switch has been great.
We know she is pink because we have faith.
I agree with you and coming from a different perspective. I’ve tried the games and they just don’t do it for me for whatever reason. I don’t see this flopping at all. I also think recent launches will make sure they have things ready to go. It will sell like crazy and the fans that love the games will love it I’m sure.
I’m with this. Unless it is about work, let people believe what they want. Or else you end up discussing a lot of stuff like religion and politics in a place it doesn’t need to be.
I’m reminded of Leland Yee. California politician who was in favor of gun control all while doing gun running stuff himself. Guess he felt gun control was good for business.
I have a ton of hours in the game and didn’t even realize it was always online. That is how little issues it caused for me. But it is definitely good for this to happen.
Having the Star Wars license is what saved the company.
I see ads all the time now using various famous actors voices for spamming scammer crap. If someone didn’t know better they would absolutely think these actors were shilling the stuff.
