Listen… it’s for… archival and digital preservation purposes.
I’ll keep calling it Twitter until all of the branding is gone. My login notification email is the same as it has been. Blue bird and all.
Totally forgot about the complete back replacements like that! I’ll take 5. . Week long battery life here I come.
Honestly, I’m all for it if it means bringing back ridiculously sized phone batteries with huge bumps that can act as a finger shelf. My note 2 with a 4200mah battery was a beast in 2013.
It’ll hit equilibrium eventually. Not like this is something unusual for a platform that’s making the rounds as the new and exciting thing.
I always thought it’d be more of a feature phone type os. Couldn’t compete with what Android had to offer to the mainstream Western market at the time using primarily HTML, but I’m glad to find out that is what it turned into.
Decided to join Lemmy after having issues with the Reddit app and Relay not getting along. Facebook groups as of late have been flaming garbage. Twitter is now an… X. I’m not touching Reddit again unless Google sends me there. Sync seems to do the job quite well.
I’ve tried Mastodon before. It just wasn’t my cuppa. This is my new public facing social home I think.

You’re not wrong. I was so desperate to get online as a kid I was pirating my neighbor’s internet on my Nintendo DS with a borrowed copy of the browser, because that was the only hardware I had with wifi access lmao.
I remember this feature being removed around Android 9 or 10ish. Possibly. However, you could always use Tasker. Someone even built a convenient profile you can import.
The internet as a whole.
I’ve had material taken down after years of sitting there with thousands of downloads. On the other hand, I have material that has been there just about as long with similar download counts, and it hasn’t been touched. It all depends on if it gets flagged or not.
I’ll concur. This is one of the few games I’ve actually paid for, and it was worth every penny, even during beta. Probably going to be my go to for the winter.
It’s also a naturally busy time for living organisms in the northern hemisphere. I’ve just got things going on, man.
