Why doesn’t MS do what Apple does with Writing Tools. Put it Rewrite at the OS level so that anything with text can access the feature? Doing this an app at a time is odd.

Elon’s entire product development career fits into this framework:

Yeah, the more I look up this, it looks like an NFC loop is part of the MagSafe / Qi 2 protocols.
I thought that coil was the NFC coil so that the phone could identify the case and accessories. It’s only a few threads, which would be small for an induction coil.
Magsafe has magnets in the phone, the dock, AND the case for a firm connection.
Here’s a pic of my Apple silicone case with no phone inside of it. It’s magnetic.
When I say, “Set a timer for 5 minutes,” it sets a timer. (18.2db1)

Wait, wait again, and wait some more
Looks like there is a new waitlist for devs who want to see part 2 of Apple Intelligence.
IMHO, this is how integrations with chat GPT should work. Default to a local model or a private cloud model, and if that doesn’t work, ask the user if they want the query to go to another LLM. And let people turn off the external LLM prompts entirely.
Let make it opt it. And make opting out very prominent.
On one hand, yes.
On the other hand, that new Death Star approach scene was pretty tight.
Gen X: “I believe you mean 1999, not 2005”
He pointed to Amazon’s principle of “disagree and commit,” which is the idea that employees should debate and push back on each others ideas respectfully
That’s all fine and dandy for ending debate about a stupid roadmap feature, but “disagree and commit” is a different story when you’re asking people to spend 3 hours unpaid in a car everyday.
Given the fact that Trump lies 95% of the time, who the fuck knows what Cook said to him, or if he even had a call at all.
That said, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Apple doesn’t like EU regulations. They been fighting that stuff, in public, for years.
The NY Daily had a good follow up to this. They’re underfunded for what they’re currently being asked to do. Increased polarization and violent rhetoric is forcing them to guard more and more people. And their funding isn’t matching their increased span of guard duty. They’re working a lot of overtime, not getting paid for it, and quitting.
Also, since they got rolled into the DHS, the DHS has been taking money that should probably go to the Secret Service, and they’ve been using it for immigration policing.
But you had to fax this comment in.
Anyone else remember that time Rose threw a raccoon?
It opened without a paywall for me, so I assumed it didn’t have a paywall. That said, I posted an archive link under it a while ago.
It’s like Brexit, but in America.
