Same here. I don’t know how I’m going to play any other games. Maybe if I can finally fully unlock everything I could see myself taking a short break, but it’s so much fun. And the meta narrative is really cool. The TCS missions were awesome, and it’s funny too. I still laugh at unexpected team or self kills. Or calling in a 500kg on yourself because you’re getting ganked by hunters lol.

I also like how they reworked the civilian evac missions to be more open and less like the exterminate missions. Excited to see what comes next on the bot front, mutated bugs, mysterious blue lasers, etc

I only have 1 IRL friend I play with. Most of my other friends I made in the game. I just hop on mic and headset, make sure my house isn’t noisy and that I’m not giving any annoying feedback into the mic (like breathing, eating chips, or TV feedback) and just play for fun. When people talk back on mic, or type in chat, or play as a team, I shoot them a friend request. Eventually I have built up about 10 or so solid folks who I can hop in with anytime, and who hop in with me when I’m playing. It’s a blast!

I think rather than marking the price down further than normal sales, I think they will add official PC support to help boost sales. I think hey already confirmed they were looking into it.

For people with a PC and a PS5 this would make the PSVR2 the go to VR headset.

I watched some gameplay of the new weapons. Looks like the Sickle is amazing, but the rest are meh. Stun grenades could be good for stopping hordes or the Bile Titan long enough to line up a 500kg orbital strike, but they can’t destroy bug nests and don’t last that long. Also good for disengaging from a horde hot on your tail…

Armors with 95% protection to electricity are also niche now, but I think the Illuminate enemies in HD1 had electric weapons, so the utility might come later. Or if your specific crew is running all arc weapons.

I couldn’t agree more. I feel like I’m back in the Halo 1-3 days

I mean, it’s probably unplayed by a lot of people despite the fact that it’s critically acclaimed, and it’s over a decade old. I don’t think it’s too young for a remake considering you can still buy the old version.

This game to me is a perfect blend of gameplay and story when played single player. I’m more annoyed that they actually added coop. If anything, I think coop should be something that is unlocked after an initial playthrough. What makes this game great is playing both characters on the same controller, without that I’m not sure if the story will be as impactful

The point of these posts is to foster discussion (good or bad), not to act as an ad. The few people on Lemmy who even follow this community are not the ones making the difference in the pocketbooks of Ubisoft CEOs when this game eventually sells millions of copies because gamers who only play GTA, COD, and 2K whatever preorder it in droves.

Like it or not, Assassins Creed is a tent pole title in the gaming industry and reporting on the upcoming title is relevant. With that being said, continue to vote and speak your mind.

I had been feeling quite down about this game as well. I thought it had so much potential and I thought it was canceled. I’m super happy to see it’s still alive and kicking!
