I fucking hate that this is a thing. “We can’t stop doing this useless and/or detrimental thing, look at all the work it makes for other people to do!!!” Absolutely bonkers that it’s just a standard political argument.
The irony of posting this meme with a title telling other people how to have fun is just perfect.
5·7 months agoI’ve never tried one, but I tdid look at them last time I got a new kb (2 years ago?). IIRC you can do pressure sensitivity, but meaningfully mapping that to game/software controls is often difficult. You can also adjust the trigger point if you’re using “standard” mode, and I think you can even set a different action for passing the trigger point and bottoming out the key.

I seem to remember that given as the official reason, and there were certainly plenty of complaints along those lines. Whether that was a convenient excuse for anti-communist schemes or the actual reason I don’t know. Most likely it was some of both, at least in the case of hexbear.
Calling hexbear a “trans instance” is pretty misleading. They’re explicitly political first and foremost, and happen to have a high concentration of trans/queer users. They were defederated by .world for being overbearing and disruptive, not because of their transness or queerness. Blahaj zone, by comparison, is explicitly a trans instance first and foremost, and is still federated by .world.
She’s essentially a professional model, of course posed studio shots look better than whatever random shit a paparazzi snaps.
What trans instances have they defederated?

73·11 months agoYou aren’t, but the people who didn’t like it are loud and obnoxious so you hear a lot from them.
That’s why it’s a basic income. Enough to keep you housed, clothed and fed. Your clothes might be thrifted, your apartment small, and your diet mostly instant ramen, but your basic needs will be covered. Plenty of people would still work hard to get more than the basics.
It’s not a damn pillow display!
