Plus you’re leaving nails in the parking lot for everyone else to run over

And even worse, when they leave the tow hitch in so you have a shin breaker extending over the sidewalk.
I have been considering this but don’t have enough patience. The cops in my town don’t care. They might even yell at me for wasting their time.
However they do seem to collect data on calls and eventually respond to what it seems like people want. I think it would take getting to the end of the year and having some data analyst say “look how many calls we got about cars blocking the sidewalk. We need to do something”
Previously he could buy a company like Twitter on a whim. He’d probably have to think twice about doing that again, so there’s a noticeable loss of purchase power.
Then you see his solar company is gone, drilling never went anywhere, car company may be pinched.
At least what he spent to buy a seat in government was cheap (for him)
That’s an awfully expensive political statement, even for Musk
“More suitable” than what? I live in a green area: both this phrasing and a scan of sources added below, make it look like I benefit from 2.7°C global warming. Bring it on!
In the linked sources, I don’t see that huge black area in Siberia
Wow, that’s crazy.
I wonder how much of that is demonization of unions. If a big piece of Democrat support for working class is support for unions, does that actually matter when so many people of all incomes are taught to hate unions?
Then there’s the student loan fiasco. By all rights the Biden administration should have gotten kudos for finding so many ways to attempt student loan forgiveness, and for focusing it on lower income people (for example, people in income based repayment with less than $10k left). However the right succeeded in making that seem elitist or not independent and the left seemed to blame Democrats for not being more successful in the face of Republican obstruction
Yeah, it’s crazy that it not only happens but is apparently ok.
I rolled into my voting place after work, which you’d expect to be busy and no line. We’re in a high cost of living part of a high cost of living blue state, but most definitely not white nor wealthy. I assume it’s the blue state that wants everyone to vote although I certifiably don’t know if there are places here where it’s different
My state is already called with 82% for Harris! I’m sure the final won’t be nearly that good but we’re on track to beat our previous score of 69% blue.
We’re doing what we can for popular vote
Every season needs to top the previous one. Wait until you see what’s in store for next season!!!
The problem is we have to take a hard left turn to get to a place where we can address any problems
…. But I’m not totally buying this argument. The one big change we were able to get through to make people’s lives easier was the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Statistically it made a huge difference in the lives of millions, especially lower middle and income to poor citizens. Yet somehow they kept electing people promising to repeal it, usually without even the concept of how to replace it. Do you really want millions of people going back to no medical coverage? Do you really want to be paying for coverage that can reject you on a hint of “previous conditions”? Sorry, but how is this anything but stupid?
So far. He may become a genius over the next year
Very true. In contrast, I’m fed up with Firestick and am interested in trying AppleTV instead. But that device is two years old. I’m not in a hurry to buy, so that means I’m on the sidelines as I waited for the Spring announcement, then the summer announcement, then the fall announcement, and a new model never came. Now I’m getting stubborn: there must be a new version coming soon. If I knew when to expect any update, Apple would likely already have my money
I his whole idea is awfully reminiscent of a certain political party insisting ACA is bad and needs to be repealed? Why? It’s bad? What are you going to do instead? We have a concept.
I’m not necessarily disagreeing with the idea but yes there needs to be something do do with criminal offenders as either punishment or protecting civilization from repeat offenders. There needs to be some way for offenders to regret their actions or some opportunity to re-think their choices. Reforming civilization to address those who are in actual need is the first step, as is redirecting away from prison where you can, but it’s nowhere near sufficient. Way too many criminals are actual criminals
Everyone knows Republicans are better for business. Just ask Donald Trump, he’ll tell you
I know a surprising number of immigrants of various flavors, who are proud of overcoming all the obstacles to build a better, successful life for themselves and their families. They object to other immigrants “getting special favors”, “not following the rules”, “getting it easy”. Some of it is justified pride in their accomplishments but I can’t help but believe they are misinformed about attempted reforms, just like many other conservatives
If those are valid substitutes for prison and they do exist, then why does prison still get the bulk of the offenders? I’m all for your idea but reality seems to be proving those solutions do not apply to most cases of criminal justice
For newbies to home automation, it’s finally getting to the point where we should recommend Matter/Thread.
I mean, I won’t use it yet because I have mature Zigbee and Z-wave meshes, and use Home Assistant, but they want to run HomeKit and don’t seem to want to do their homework
Don’t wait. Come talk to us. Yeah things are hectic with demands flooding in from all directions but we want to make your job easier and better
