Can’t speak for Boeing, but in this case outsourcing to TSMC may actually be a somewhat viable strategy in the short term.
It just feels like the entire tech world is placing all of their eggs in one TSMC-shaped basket. A company located in a country that is prone to getting Ukraine’d by China at any time.
So much for Intel’s domestically produced chips.
That’s why you have the CHIPs act in the US and comparable programs in EU and Japan.
Then why is intel outsourcing?
