A search warrant was served at the Brick Builders store in Eugene by the Springfield Police after a 3-month investigation revealing thousands of stolen Legos.
Honestly, nothing surprises me anymore these days. It just seems rather sad and petty for people to go stealing Lego of all things though, no matter the reason.
You think Lego is sad and petty? There are entire urban markets based around Tide detergent for this same reason. Easy to transport and store, doesn’t draw attention, and many stores don’t require a receipt to return unopened containers for at least store credit, which can then be used to buy anything else there.
Damn. I know Lego is pretty valuable, but still, why would anyone make a point to steal them? Sad. ☹️
They were used as a currency for selling drugs at one point. Easy to flip and stable value.

They recovered 200000 worth of Lego’s at msrp. They can go for 3-4 time their msrp at events and etc.
I hate to be that guy, but LEGO is both singular and plural. Legos, or as you stated, Lego’s, is not a word.
No one cares.
I know, even the article messed it up. IDGAF either, but I do appreciate Lego enough to at least know.
