I’m having to play catchup as my lad is super interested in all this and I’m having to quickly get up to speed to understand how best to support it, hopefully there’ll be enough crossover between the different environments that means that as he learns, I do to, in a way that’s useful.
They’re both based on Ubuntu which is based on Debian, so under the hood, they are largely the same and will continue to be for the foreseeable future even as Pop!_OS diverges from Ubuntu more each year (in a good way).
Let him do his thing and investigate Pop on your own.
