Starting January 9, a new policy on the Xbox Network will automatically remove captures (screenshots and video clips) stored for over 90 days, affecting all users with ‘historic’ content. This move is believed to alleviate strain on Microsoft’s servers.
Jeez. 90 days is a pretty short period of time.
They’ve probably realised it was taking up so much server space. It’s a con because you have to pay monthly for their services.
I expected a more sensible default, such as 365 days. It would also be helpful to have a ‘favorite’ option to prevent deletion. This is a major letdown.
Unfortunately, things never stay the same.
