Photon looks like shit on mobile, basically Walmart Sync. These are the only things I can think of:

  • Use a better font instead of system font (Cantarell)
  • Move sort options up into the navbar

    I think mobile is mostly fine. I’m happy with the system font actually, since I can control that.

    As you noted, the buttons at the top can be combined, maybe a drop down. In particular, the About button is strange and is by itself.

    I actually think it looks pretty solid, but I’d be happy with anything that got it looking closer to Sync set to a pure black theme.

    Some other thoughts:

    • Set all of the boxes to black and slightly expand to make images a bit wider.
    • Hide comment options by default, only show the upvote/reply/mod functionality when the comment is tapped (this makes it easier to read threads).
    • Move the community name and address to the top bar.
    • Add option for bottom navigation menu.
    • Expand the text comment submission text box.
    • Add mail icon outside of the nested menu.
