Within a day of official striking, news media were screaming for back to work legislation. Just that alone started spooking the heads of our union and shortly after the union and a majority of the members voted 2% increases over 4 years. Exceptionally below inflation. Over 100,000 employees voluntarily took a massive pay cut just out of fear of being legislated back. As far as I see it, we no longer have a union.
