Got some time so I’ll elaborate: which type of device has the best balance of price, speed and reliability? I would use that for the OS. Would the other type of device be worth it for rest of the data? Or should I go all in on the same technology? I’ve always preferes to keep these two on separate “hard drives”.
NVME is a physical size standard
A NVME SSD and a normal 2.5 inch SSD are the same tech different form factor. NVMEs are a bit more expensive normally. Just look for a SSD that has 3d nand cache the more the better. Though I will note since the NVME SSDs are physically closed to the CPU and South bridge they are a mote faster.
