How can we make it more popular?

Defederating tankies, nazis, fascists, bigots and other awful elements; forcing moderators and administrators to do their job when bad behaviours occur, and respectfully disagree with other people instead of calling them names or mocking them.

Hexbear has been here since before Lemmy even had implemented activitypub. For 3 years they’ve successfully existed in their niche and will continue to do so in the future.

Not to mention that thanks to federation they’ve gained many more uses and have left a mark on the rest of the fediverse that my instance, Lemmygrad, could’ve only dreamed of!

We’re defining this space while all you are trying to do is to create a shitty Reddit knockoff. I’m sorry but your model is going to fail. You have nothing to offer to users that Reddit doesn’t have, and they will not care. The whole third party app debacle has already died down, and most simply never cared.

Ironically, this comment is posted from an instance that has defederated from the large tanky instances.

Sorry I’m still learning how to Lemmy, I only joined today once the Reddit withdrawals got too bad (I was using the Infinity Reddit client but it switched to the subscription model a couple of days ago)

I wonder why. You seem like a fine person who thinks forcefully having sex with multiple people without consent, potentially fucking them up for life mentally, and possibly physically, is only worthy of 3 years in prison.
