Outer Wilds and the DLC are such amazing games. Highly recommended. The DLC does get kinda spooky sometimes.
My personal favorite game of all time. Such an absolutely incredible experience, both from for the gameplay / puzzle mechanics, the story, the music and themes.
I went into the game blind. I had no idea what it was. I was initially turned off by the jumping mechanics in the first couple of minutes.
I had been trying a ton of games on Xbox game pass that day, and I had tried a lot of mediocre titles just prior to booting it up.
I was this close to closing the game, but I thought it would be silly to just quit that quickly, so I said I would try it until I got past the tutorial.
I’m glad I kept going because 1) my mind was blown when I got past the tutorial, and 2) it ended up being one of my top 5 favorite games, if not my absolute favorite.
Agreed. I’ve played the game twice, once when it came out and the second when the DLC came out. Fortunately enough time passes, you can easily forget the puzzle solutions and just lose yourself in the world again.
Man I wish. Those puzzles are ingrained in my skull forever.
I think it’s fair to say that I would remember SOME things that took a lot longer to figure out the first time, but the specifics are gone that I still could not finish the game outright if I reinstalled it right now.
Also I’ve had two kids since it first came out and my memory is shot so that helps too!
