Besides… a “communist” dictatorship isn’t communist - it’s just a dictatorship. If you’re doing dictatorship, you’re not much of a communist.

But there are plenty of capitalist or partially capitalist countries that aren’t dictatorships. Whereas China is essentially ruled by one person. I don’t accept your dichotomy either
