The Halibut is still my favourite.
What would salmon fried be like? I’ve never once seen that.
Fish and chips fish is steamed, the batter coats it and gets fried creating a shell. The fish inside never touches the oil and steams in its own moisture.
Come to Seattle. We do it here. It’s pretty damned good actually.
I’ve had it in the states. With good fish it can be good, but I’d take halibut over salmon fried any day.
If only there was a third face to represent northern nations who leave dead fish to brew, putting both parties into horror.

Ironically i recently read a study that explored the theory that our allergies are caused by the modern lack of intestinal parasites. They release a moderate immune suppressant into the host organism, helping to desensitize the immune system so it doesn’t react as easily to non threats like random pollen.
Yeah, anecdotal, but my buddy didn’t get hayfever the spring he had a tapeworm. Also lost a bunch of weight. He says it was the best thing to ever happen to him.
That is why good sushi fish is flash frozen and then thawed before serving. It will kill all the parasites in the meat.
