      Thank you so much! It’s a tradition in every French household, the dessert for Christmas is almost always a Yule log, called bûche de noël. Sometimes it’s made to look as much as possible as a piece of wood, sometimes it’s just a rounded shape, cake or ice cream, anything goes :-)

      Haha I have some experience with baking but this is the first time I’m making this. And I did make a mistake, the filling is supposed to be much lighter, mixed with cream cheese or mascarpone, and I didn’t have any. Next time it will be even better!

    So fancy! The mushrooms make it look like a little fairy log. I don’t know if I would want to cut it up and eat it.

    Around here they’re always chocolate cake with white frosting, or white cake with white frosting. I so desperately want one with yellow (or I’ll settle for white) cake and chocolate frosting. 😍😍 Love the little mushrooms.
